I grew up in Arizona and I swear our house had carpeting in every room except the kitchen. Even the bathrooms! I can’t imagine stepping out of the shower onto carpet now, but apparently, that was the thing to do in Arizona in the 80’s?!! I need to ask my parents about that decision!! 🤣 That being said, I did develop a sense of love and appreciation for carpet and the sense of comfort it gives me, so when we built our house years ago, I knew I wanted carpet in the bedrooms and hallways. Since we are in the middle of our home makeover and installing new flooring in our house, we went back and forth about switching to all hardwood. Ultimately we decided we wanted to keep the same layout and just freshen it up with new, yummy carpet. Yes, I think that carpet can be yummy! Ha. My husband agrees with me on the comfort factor, win-win. He said he doesn’t like to get out of bed onto hardwood flooring and that he would prefer soft and cushioned carpeting under his feet.
Step one – agreeing on the carpet, accomplished!
Step two – picking out the carpet, not as easy of a task!
When scrolling through the photos you will see Lennox played a big part in the decision-making process. Lol! He took his job very seriously as he analyzed the textures and colors of each swatch. He gravitated toward the lighter colors which I was nervous about (stains), but the team at Carpet One Floor & Home® really helped guide me through the decision-making process. I know a TON about carpet now! A very important piece of information I learned was, “Don’t order too many samples, it gets too confusing!!” Thank you, Jani! He’s the pro from Carpet One who taught me that, and he was amazing at helping me (Lennox ) 😁 narrow down our choice by finding the best quality carpeting for a reasonable price.
I was told that Resista® SoftStyle carpet, what we ended up choosing, has incredible stain resistant properties which are super important in a home with kids and animals! I’m terrified of pee and spills! Now here’s what the professionals say:
“The collection of Resista® SoftStyle carpet combines thick and thin fibers to create coordinating tonal styles with superior softness and stain resistance.”
Below I have more detailed info and a diagram that explains Resista® SoftStyle carpet better than I ever could! And if you’re like me and love the comfort and warmth carpeting can bring to your home, you have to check out Carpet One Floor & Home®. I have to tell you that we made a perfect choice!
