I’ve been thinking about the vacation we just went on and how relaxing it was to be at the beach or the pool, drinking margaritas and eating waaaaay too many tacos! I LOVED playing with Lennox and my hubby in the water, both ocean and pool. Lennox is a fish. It’s so fun to see this kid obsessed with water. All kinds. It started with the bath and now he loves the ocean just as much. 👶🏼🐠💦 It’s amazing when you’re on vacation the hardest decision, well for me at least, is pool or beach? Should I wear the mini dress or the maxi? All that being said, it’s a whole different world going on vacation with a 15-month-old baby. Am I right?!! Waking up in the morning to Lennox crying out for us, going back to the condo so he can take his naps during the day, and going to bed earlier than we usually would instead of a little nightlife, (nightlife? What’s that?!😂) but this new type of vacationing is my favorite. At this moment, while I’m writing this blog, I miss having a few less responsibilities and making mundane decisions like beach or pool? These days I am inundated with preschool tours and figuring out new nap schedules, auditions and babysitters. I’m trying to book jobs and still working on getting back to “me.” Or the new version of me… So life has gone back to “normal” and I’m already dreaming of our next vacation. Our next escape from the day to day- which I DO love. It just gets repetitive- do you feel that way?? Not complaining, just sharing my thoughts. I love my life. I’m grateful for my life. 🙏🏻
One more thing, don’t vacations fly by way too fast? I feel like the second you unpack and get situated with the city, it’s time to pack again and catch a plane home. I want to go to the south of France for a month! How extraordinary would that be!?! I went years ago and it’s just heavenly. OK, goals! Thanks for letting me babble. Akumal Mexico! Beautiful little town situated right between Tulum and Cancun. It’s gorgeous and still not that well known so the beaches stay very quiet and isn’t touristy. However these days being stationed in the south of Japan, Mexico isn’t quite as easy for us! Ha! 🙂
