We danced💃🏼💃🏼 the night away... Or, did we? 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♀️ "Kinda" 👼🏼 - Amy Davidson

So… We attended our friends, Ali and Kevin’s wedding a couple weekends ago and brought Lennox with us. I was so happy that the babies were welcome as I’m not quite ready to be away from him yet!!! They hired a nanny service for all the babies and kids so I thought great, what a fab set up for Lennox! Well, it started out fine and Len was ok during the wedding, but I think our first mistake was checking on him too soon. We kissed him, said goodbye and that we’d be back soon and walked out. He was fine! He was playing with the nannies! Then without thinking, we took a peek at him and he saw us and it was challenging from then on… And I know better, I know to say bye and don’t linger because it makes its harder on the babies, especially right now. Lennox has pretty bad separation anxiety right now so I wanted to “make sure” he was ok. Ughh! Well, this was our first time at a social event like this and we’re novices, obviously! So he got upset. I got upset and then it was just a lot of back and forth during the reception making sure he was ok, happy and comfortable. I had to balance being a present mommy, supportive friend and wife and me. The me that wanted to dance the night away in my fab dress and have another glass of wine and NOT miss the girls photo booth picture😩 BUT, my son needed me, he was right next door and it’s like I could feel him needing me and wanting me. So that’s what I did. I divided my time the best I could and I wore five different hats. I feel this way a lot… Juggle, juggle, juggle. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Lennox wants me. He wants his mommy. He made me a MOMMY! OMG! How can I ever repay him?! I’ll start by being as present and available to him as I can. I will continue to do my absolute best to raise him as a happy, healthy and confident child. I will ALWAYS love him and give him the support he needs and deserves. And I promise to take care of myself as well! Taking care of myself on this journey is incredibly important too. We can’t forget this, mommys and daddys. In order for our kids to be happy and healthy let’s start by setting the example for them to see what that looks like!
