Headband braid tutorial❣️

August 23, 2018

Hey ladies! It’s been along time since I’ve done hair tutorial and I think you’re going to flip over this one! My headband braid was done by the talented Jamie Hausch (Instagram, jamie_hausch) and she shows us just how easy it can be. So grab a girlfriend, give her a glass of vino and ask her to follow these easy steps!! Below is the breakdown and I’ve also added the steps under each photo for reference❣️❣️❣️
1. Separate out a front section of your hair on one side of your part and create a Dutch braid down towards your ear.
*Tip: a Dutch braid is the same as a French braid, except you cross the outer strands UNDER instead of OVER the center strand. This creates a fuller look than a traditional French braid.
2. Once the braid reaches your ear, secure it with an elastic that’s clear or the color of your hair.
3. Secure the braid with a couple Bobby pins.
4. Using your fingers, gently “pancake” the braid by pulling and loosening the outer strands of the braid. This gives your braid that full, beachy look!
5. Collect the remainder of your hair and fasten it to the braid with another elastic to form one low pony tail
6. Wrap the hair in the ponytail around itself until it forms a loose bun and secure with bobby pins. This is supposed to look easy and sexy, so bonus points for messiness and loose pieces that make for sexy tendrils!
