“Mommeeee, draaa harts!” That’s what Lennox says on a daily basis😂 so I draw hearts, hearts and more hearts! It’s so sweet that he doesn’t ask for me to draw snakes or bugs or something “boy-like.” Nope, Len wants hearts. It’s like he knows that he’s stolen my heart and it’s his way of saying I love you back😇 That’s what I’ll tell myself anyway… Fine motor skills are something we’re working on so we do a ton of drawing. Lennox loves his crayons and loves to stand at his easel just drawing away. We have the easel from Little Partners and it’s super cute! Being at home with Lennox when I’m not working is truly a dream, but to be honest, I’m starting to feel a little pressure to teach him more and more, and sometimes I question if I’m doing it “right” or doing enough… Lennox is learning and learning quickly, so I guess we’re doing something right. It’s just when you’ve never done something before it’s so easy to judge yourself, and judge harshly. So, I have decided I’m going to try my best to give myself a break. If you’re feeling any of this pressure too, I hope you will also give yourself a break and maybe even a pat on the back! After all, raising tiny humans is the hardest job. It’s the most rewarding job, but also the most challenging.
So cheers to all of us parents! We kick some serious ass. Now go work on some hearts❤️❤️❤️
