Hilarity for Charity

On October 17th my hubby and I went to an amazing and inspiring event for Alzheimer’s called Hilarity for Charity. Although I love getting dressed up for a date night and sharing my look with you, its also important for me to share about this cause. To help make a difference… Thats exactly what we experienced Saturday night. I was educated, enlightened and inspired to be a part of this movement to cure such a tragic disease…

Here are some of the cold, hard facts:

• Today more than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease. 

• By 2050, as many as 16 million Americans will have the disease and an American will develop the disease every 33 seconds.

• Another American develops Alzheimer’s ever 67 seconds.

• Alzheimer’s disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States.

• Alzheimer’s is the only cause of death among the top 10 in America without a way to prevent, cure, or even slow its progression.​
