When you were a baby they were saying to only put babies on their belly, not their back. They flip flop on this many times, so who knows really whats right.
My daughter was about 2 weeks old when I let her sleep on her belly all the time. She slept better and loved it too. I would check on her too, but not constantly and she has never had a problem. (She’s currently 4 1/2 months)
If he wants to be on his belly that might be what’s best for him and who knows, he may sleep better/longer too!
