Last year Lennox was just over a month old during Easter and Passover so we didn’t do much to celebrate. It’s funny how homebound we felt at the beginning. Plus it was flu season and our pediatrician asked us to keep Lennox from being out in public too much… But- today, today was a totally different day! What an amazing time we had at our friend’s house celebrating and enjoying the fantastic weather! We even participated in the Easter Egg hunt! I won a dollar! 💵 Thanks Willa and Ryan😉 Haha! WootWoot! Kacy got two Snickers and Lennox just enjoyed it all…👏🏻👏🏻 It feels so awesome to have a child at festivities like today where we could enjoy other families and where Kacy and I felt like we were finally on the “inside.” We have wanted to be parents for years, so celebrating a day like Easter with our sweet little baby was just a blessing. So much fun!!! Plus, Lennox got to wear a tie and suspenders!!! And silver sneakers! The cuteness!!!
Looking back to a year ago I’m just in awe at how far we’ve come… I was still pretty deep into my postpartum depression and just starting to come out of the fog. It’s amazing how far we’ve come in a year. Does depression still creep in and out? Absolutely. Have I found ways to handle it and stay sane and healthy? Yes, I have. I don’t always have a perfect solution. To be honest, a glass of wine helps me relax after a long day and feel like an adult. An adult with an adult beverage! 🍷 Do I feel guilty for enjoying a glass of wine? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! As parents, we have an extremely challenging job and we deserve to indulge in a glass of vino here and there. No judgement coming from this mama!!
I truly hope you had an amazing holiday with your family and friends😉 And yes, I changed my dress! Ha! Wanted to be able to get on the grass with Lennox. 😘😘
