If I were a pair of shoes, Iβd definitely be a pair of coral converse! At first I didnβt think there would be a whole lot to this blog post!
But as I started writing it, I realized that I did find a higher meaning regarding happiness. Who wouldβve thought coral chucks would lead me to look within and evaluate my thoughts? Wowzers
Well, I get pretty introspective and I think it makes sense. Iβll let you be the judge! And btw, what are your fave shoes?! Totally curious.
So, my mom gave me these chucks while I was home in Arizona last week, and when I put them on they instantly made me happy! Plain and simple- I was happy. I mean, shouldnβt all shoes make us feel this way?! Haha! If only it were that simple, right?! To be happy because of a pair of shoes? I know when I buy a gorgeous pair of heels (that hurt like HE) Iβm happy for a little bit, until I have buyers remorse and wish I hadnβt spent the money.
Wayyyy off track here. My point is, yes, a pair of cutie coral chucks, or maybe green chucks have the ability to make me happy, but I really think itβs because I made a choice to BE HAPPY. I am really working on practicing my ability to choose and to choose wisely. Iβve read a lot of books that talk about happiness being a choice, that our feelings are our emotional guidance system. So when we are upset and feeling crummy, we must remember that WE are in charge of how we feel. I know itβs easy to say this person hurt my feelings or that person was so rude and now Iβm in a bad mood etc. but really they are just being themselves and doing what they do. We are in charge of how we react to them. We can choose to give over our power to what theyβve said or done or we can choose to allow them to be themselves and let. it. go. Sooooooo much easier said than done, I know, but thatβs what Iβm working on and I wanted to share
Have a happy day! Remember, itβs a choice!!
Hug, Hug, Kiss, Kiss!
