I know Iβve talked about the benefits of exercise before, but I feel that itβs important enough that I want to talk about it again. I havenβt exercised much the past two weeks and Iβm down about it. Iβm definitely feeling it in my body and my mood and I need to get back into it. I know Iβm smiling in these photos but Iβm not smiling as I write this. When I donβt exercise I have a lot of pent up energy and I donβt know where to use it. It manifests in my body in knots and sore muscles, sometimes my legs cramp up. I can tell Iβm not sleeping as well which also sets the tone for my day. When I exercise and exert that energy I sleep like a baby. Or I should say like my husband. He knows how to sleep!
Sometimes itβs literally like pulling teeth to get me out of the house to go to a yoga class or to put on my running shoes and just take off with the jogging stroller. Wait, let me back up, yoga barely happens much anymore. Iβm on mom duty 24/7 (which is the best job I could ever dream of) needless to say yoga is a luxury these days. I went twice last month.WooHoo! I used to go 4 to 5 times a week and now I realize I totally took that for granted. Itβs amazing how different my body feels these days. My back hurts so much these days. I wonder why?
Oh ya, because I carry 27lbs up and down stairs all day!
I guess you can say my exercise regimen is βslightlyβ different than it used to be. Ha. Maybe Iβm just a weightlifter
now! Ok, but seriously, Iβm going to make myself get outside today and run!!
Iβm going to do it. Whoβs with me?!
