Train party, friends and puddles for days!! Oh sweet Lennox, what a fun, fun, fun birthday party! It definitely didn’t go how I had planned it in my head, but it was perfect! Wet and perfect!💦🙌🏻💦
Saturday March, 2nd was a crazy, rainy day! I was freaking out because we rented a train car and picnic tables at Travel Town, a historic train museum, but the picnic area was completely rained out. That meant all 55 of our guests were nice and cozy in our train car that holds 30 people😳🚂. It made for a fun and chaotic birthday celebration to say the least. The kids had no idea we were stepping on each other and were thrilled to be in a real train car!🤣 We ate delicious Fresh Brothers pizza and salads delivered right to our train car- parents, did you know they blend fruits and veggies into their tomato sauce for the kids pizzas?! Sold! Needless to say, it was a hit with kids AND adults.
Lennox got a Big Jigs Rail train table for his birthday which the kids loved and fought over! To be expected, I guess… 🤪 Lennox is obsessed with train tables so it was really fun to watch him playing with his new table and his cute little friends. Now that I think of it, I don’t know who enjoyed it more? Lennox or me?! LOL!! All in all, I was pretty happy the kiddos were able to share the trains and play so well together. Not an easy feat for three year olds!
Lennox said his favorite part of his party was kicking the balls around in the rain. It was so cute watching these tiny humans jumping and splashing in puddles, running around with the zillion balls we brought to play with. Thank goodness my husband thought to buy and bring all kinds of balls to the party! It was getting a bit cramped inside, so the minute it went from pouring to misting the kids were outside and running around. It was way too wet and rainy for the piñata so we decided we will bring it to school and have some additional bday fun!!
Every birthday special of course, but I was really touched by all of the friends who made it out on a cold and rainy day to celebrate our sweet son. It meant so much to me that they helped us to celebrate yet another milestone. Oh 3!! Excited for this wonderful year ahead! Now, have sweet dreams of trains Lennox, and sleep the whole night thru! 🙏🏻😉🙌🏻
