We have lived in our house for many years and it’s always had a warm, loving feeling inside. When someone walks into our home and tells me how great the energy is and how warm it feels, it’s truly one of the best compliments I could receive. Although I loved my choice in eclectic furniture and decor for many years, it was time for something new. Something brighter and fresh. I was obsessed with dark, teak wood and vibrant colors but it was time to mix things up! They say when you are pregnant you start nesting and boy was that true for me. But, if nesting happens when you are pregnant, once I had Lennox I had a full-blown let’s flip the house upside down and redo everything attack! Needless to say the hubby hasn’t been thrilled. 😬 Collaborating with World Market and interior designer, Willa Ford (who happens to be a dear friend❤️) was a seamless partnership. Willa and I looked at everything from furniture to decor and accents, and honestly it was a challenge to narrow down our choices. I loved everything we looked at in the store and online. Lol! I have to say my bedroom makeover has exceeded my wildest dreams. World Market has the eclectic feel that I have always loved, along with being chic and current. My house had become outdated!!! 😂
Everything came together in perfect harmony from my new bed and end tables- which are actually dressers because Willa is brilliant 🙌🏻, to the art on the walls. Willa kept telling me to trust her, and I do 100%! But I’m also a tad of a control freak🙈 so relinquishing control was a good lesson for me. I just don’t have that creative eye to look at pieces and see how they all come together, where as Willa does it instantly! Somehow she just knows instinctively what will look good together and what pieces highlight each other. This collaboration was a dream! I remember going to World Market with my parents when I moved to LA and bought my first set of bedding and dishes. I hold a fond place in my heart for this store and the unique pieces I have found over the years. If I hadn’t broken so many plates and that pattern hadn’t been discontinued I’d still have that dishware in my kitchen!
I’m thrilled to show you the beautiful photos of my bedroom makeover taken by the talented Stephanie Day🙏🏻 from Ographer, an iPhone app she developed that makes booking photographers easier, more affordable, and faster! More about Ographer in my next post. I’ve also linked all the World Market furniture from the makeover to make it easy to check it out!
P.S. World Market has killer sales and amazing holiday finds. 40% OFF furniture right now. AMAZING! I’m already planning my wish list for our holiday party!
