Feeling the blues… Not those kinds of blues 💙💙 although, they do creep in every now and then. But for this post, I’m going to talk about this amazing shade of blue, dancing on the sidewalk and feeling pretty☺️
Too often I’m in yoga pants, a t-shirt (most likely with a mom saying on it) hair in a mom bun and running shoes. I rarely wear makeup- unless I’m working, auditioning, at a meeting or a lunch. And heels? Fugheddaboudit!! So, when I take the time to doll myself up a bit and feel like “me” for a while, it’s nice. It’s really, really nice… I think too often it’s easy to put ourselves on the back burner and make our tiny humans number 1. All. The. Time. I applaud us for doing that, BUT, I also believe in the importance of rejuvenating yourself and your soul in whatever way that may be for you. For me, it might be a date night or a girls night. A spa day- I think I remember what those are like?! Yoga. Yes, yoga rejuvenates my soul and I rarely make time for it these days. But when I do go to class, I’m there and present and completely all in. So why a post with me dancing on the sidewalk in a flirty blue dress? Well, in this moment I remember feeling free. I was twirling and laughing and enjoying being a woman. Getting dressed up and feeling refreshed made me feel GOOD, and at the end of the day that’s what I strive for. To. Feel. GOOD. So, for today, mission accomplished ✋🏻 What donyou do to feel good?
